Wolves, Tares, Thorns, and Chaff:
True second-birth Christians are given a pure heart that improves and grows more Christ-like with time, prayer, reading, and walking in spirit. In general, we simply want to please The Lord and walk in truth. But so many of us today are unaware of the lies and false doctrine that has crept in like a small lump of leaven or yeast and permeated the majority of our congregations. Most are completely unaware that their pastors read “study” bibles(which tell them what to think about any given scripture, instead of trusting God through the spirit to show them truth) and were taught at seminaries and bible colleges that instilled things in them contrary to common sense, natural law, and even the Word itself due to sheep masked wolf infiltration. I’m no expert on scripture. I always urge everyone to search the scriptures, while led by The Spirit, and prayerfully seek truth. However, I do take Christ’s and Paul’s warnings about wolves in sheep’s clothing very seriously. I actively look to see where tares have been sown in amongst the wheat. With as sharp of an eye as I can, I’m seeking to spot the falsehoods, false prophets, and bad doctrine; to spot, identify, and shine light upon them. In the last 10 years in particular, as I have gazed upon the planting field, I sadly have to admit, for me, it’s getting harder and harder to see the wheat amongst Christan leadership that isn’t half overgrown with tares choking the truth and the very life out of it. Now more than ever, as Christians and children of The Light, we must stay vigilant. We must not allow ourselves to fall into deception. So, again I say, be wise, my friends, be wise and watchful.
